amsoil.ca – Canadian AMSOIL Online Shopping

AMSOIL has released a Canadian web domain amsoil.ca for all your online shopping needs!

The displayed pricing reflects online and catalog purchases in Canadian prices and eliminates any US only products like brake fluid and some aerosols. Amsoil.com will remain for US products and pricing.

For PC’s, Retailers and Dealers when you login using your ZO credentials into amsoil.ca the pricing will automatically change to your wholesale Canadian pricing.

This is a great resource for Canadians and will eliminate confusion on product availability and pricing. Any questions, help with an online shopping order or to get set up with a Preferred Customer, retail or dealership account contact me for more info.

Canadian Tire No Longer Carrying AMSOIL Products

Update:  CTC and AMSOIL have come to an agreement and you may see AMSOIL products back on the shelf at your local Canadian Tire.

In a recent announcement AMSOIL was unable to negotiate the required March price increase with Canadian Tire Corporation. CTC has decided to no longer carry the AMSOIL product lines.

Products on the shelves at CTC will still be available but will no longer be restocked. I would expect you’ll have a hard time finding motorcycle oils on the shelf after the first sale this fall.

If you are looking for a new source of AMSOIL products for your equipment. Please contact me to get quotes for wholesale or small local purchases directly.

Another great option is to have a look at the AMSOIL online locator to find a local dealer or shop that can supply you with AMSOIL products.

Fathers Day PC Membership

Still trying to figure out what to get Dad for Father’s Day this year?

If he is interested in vehicles, lawn and garden equipment, powersports like motorcycles, ATV’s, dirt bikes, boats or other motorized equipment he may appreciate an AMSOIL Preferred Customer membership as a gift this year.

Simply add either the 1 year membership ($30 CAD) or the 6 month trial membership ($15 CAD) and checkout from the online store. When you create a new user account use your Dad’s personal information – but not his email address. Use your own, he’ll be able to change the email address later so you don’t ruin the surprise.

For those who wait until the last minute you can sign up through the AMSOIL online store right up until the very last second. You can also order a membership over the phone during business hours on week days at 1-800-777-7094. Renewing a membership is best done over the phone.

Don’t forget to print a copy of the confirmation to put in with his Father’s day card on Sunday.
If you need help creating an account contact me.

Mitsubishi Outlander Oil Change

I spent Friday evening making a mess changing the oil on my 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander. This was my first DIY oil change on the vehicle. Below are some notes and photos specific to the Outlander, in general it’s very similar to other vehicles but hopefully this can help some others get started. Any questions or comments post below in the comment section.

Ready To Go Fishing?

Here in my part of Southern Ontario the sport fishing season is starting to open up soon.

People are already getting their boats on the water for perch and crappie. Trout opens today, walleye and pike open in mid-May and then bass and muskies open later in June of 2012. Check your local fishing regulations and be careful which zone you are fishing in – I can be inland or out on the Great Lakes which changes dates and locations.

Spring Motorcycle Maintenance

The number of motorcycles on the road these past two weekends when it hasn’t rained in southern Ontario has jumped significantly. I even saw someone on a cruiser flip open his cell phone on the 401 to take a call – during a heavily publicized OPP distracted driving blitz!
Maybe some day I’ll see about getting a bike. It sure does look like fun.

If your rig isn’t on the road yet and you need some high quality powersport products to get it there send me an email. Be sure to include your rides year, make, model and engine details. Leave your phone number if you want a call back in the evening.
